Another Salmonella Pet Food Recall

Is anything safe anymore????????

Another salmonella pet-food recall

Bravo! is recalling three of its raw-diet frozen pet foods because they could be contaminated with salmonella:
--Item #21-405 - 5-pound tube of Bravo! Chicken Balance frozen raw diet with a "best used by" date of 3-6-15 or 3-12-15 printed on package casing.

--Item #21-102 - 2-pound tube of Bravo! Chicken Blend frozen raw diet with a "best used by" date of 3-21-15 printed on the package casing.

-- Item #51-508 - 5-pound bag of Bravo! Beef Blend Burgers with a "best used by" date of 3-21-15 or 3-22-15 printed on the back panel of the bag.

Salmonella can sicken animals that eat these products, and humans are at risk for salmonella poisoning from handling contaminated pet products.

"The products involved in this recall all tested negative for pathogens by an independent third party prior to being shipped, but they were run on the same or next day of a product that tested positive for salmonella," the Manchester, Conn., company announced on its website Wednesday. "All of the product that tested positive is under our control and is not subject to this recall."

Wednesday's recall comes on the heels of huge recalls by other companies over possible salmonella contamination, including one by Bravo! in March.
